The S17 Pro EVO is the new generation of aune's fully discrete Class-A headphone amplifiers with Twin JFET, R2R volume control, 2 selectable current levels (A-L/A-H Class-A quiescent current per transistor), up to 7.5 W output power, 3 groups of headphone outputs + 2 groups of preamplifier outputs, etc. It is a powerful headphone amplifier with the best sound and high performance.

 

Two transistors per channel

The power amplifier of the S17 Pro EVO works with two pairs of output transistors connected in parallel. The amplifier has a total of 16 output transistors. The maximum output power is 7.5 W. All types of headphones and IEMs can be operated without any problems.

Class A current adjustable

The S17 Pro EVO was specially developed for two-stage adjustment of the Class A current:Each channel of the S17 Pro EVO has two pairs of transistors connected in parallel, so that the quiescent current per channel can be up to 100mA/200mA.The sound of a Class A amplifier is soft, warm and smooth.

Electronic R2R volume chip

The S17 Pro Evo utilises JRC's R2R electronic volume chip and associated operational amplifiers to create the 4-way balanced R2R volume control. High control precision, great channel balance, wide sound stage, accurate positioning.

Two colours for displaying level and temperature

The brand new user interface of the S17 Pro uses two colours to display the current level and temperature so that the display is clear at a glance.

Two gain levels

The S17 Pro EVO has two gain settings, each with a different output level. The low gain utilises the Class A amplifier's ability to keep the transistors in linear operation to drive IEMs well and properly, while the high gain is up to 7.5W and can drive high power headphones well.

Complex radiator structure

The transistors of the Class A amplifier always operate in the linear range, which generates a lot of heat. The industrial designer of aune has developed a complex three-dimensional structure in which the heat sink on the transistor, the heat plate at the bottom and the housing form a whole cooling system. And the heat is dissipated through the heat dissipation openings of the rear plate. Class A stability is therefore guaranteed.

50W toroidal transformer with low ripple + 19200μF capacitor array

The S17 Pro Evo uses a 50W toroidal transformer with low ripple and a dual power design. The digital control and analogue are independent of each other, so the analogue part is free from interference. In addition, it has a 19200μF capacitor arrangement. Together they make the S17 Pro Evo so powerful and sonorous.
